From only five loaves of bread and two fish Jesus fed 5,000 men plus women and children by the shore of the Sea of Galilee . They all ate till they were filled and afterward Jesus’ disciples collected 12 baskets full of fragments. The Sea of Galilee (Tiberias) is a lake in northern Israel through which the Jordan River flows. Many episodes in the life of Christ took place on or around this historic lake.
