The Temple of Isis complex was completed by Ptolemy II & III. It was later decorated by the Roman emperors Augustus and Tiberius. Isis, the mother of Horus, was one of the most important goddesses of ancient Egypt. As wife of Osiris she reunited the pieces of her dead husband’s body and brought him back to life.
